Why We Do What We Do

There are many practices that churches enter into that may be hard to understand…..until we have “the why”.  At LifePoint, we love how the Holy Spirit is infinitely creative and God is omnirelevent and He wants to enable us to share the Gospel in creative ways, but we have some ancient practices that keep us firmly grounded in faith.  This series focuses on four of those faith practices.

If My People…..

Red and yellow, black and white….and pick any other color you want. Jesus loves the little children, but it’s not just little children – Jesus loves people. For God so loved the world…..not a particular race, the world. And since He is no respecter of persons, we know He loves everyone equally. So what is it, exactly, that our country needs? What is it that only you and I can do?

All The Power You Need

Before Jesus returned to His Heavenly Father He instructed His disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit.  The disciples waited, and the Holy Spirit showed up bringing power they had never known.  That same power, the power the disciples discovered on the Day of Pentecost, is still available to you and me…….and every bit as necessary as we follow Jesus.

Unstoppable Courage – Chase The Lion

You have an enemy.  If you are a Christian, or even if you’re not a Christian, you have an enemy.  His name is satan, and he wants you to fail.  He wants you to cower in fear.  He wants you to run away from, and not toward, great things in your life. But God has great plans for you, and He wants us to pursue those plans……to chase the lion.

God’s Not Dead 2

Can the life of Jesus be proven beyond a reasonable doubt? Does any hard evidence really exist for the events in Jesus’ life? If so, is it reliable? What about his death by crucifixion? And can his alleged resurrection be credible?  God’s Not Dead 2, the follow-up movie to God’s Not Dead, tackles these issues and more.  Seeing the film is a great way to start this series, and then follow through with the lessons to understand even more about Jesus and faith.
