Dangerous Prayers
It’s easy to pray the prayers we’re familiar with, the prayers we’re comfortable with. We’re all familiar with the, “God give me, God bless me, God help me, God strengthen me,” kinds of prayers. There’s nothing wrong with those. But what if we were to take prayer to a new level……to a dangerous level? What about the prayers that put us on the spot more than they put God on the spot? Don’t know what those prayers might be? Then don’t miss this series.
Election Direction
You may be aware that there’s an election coming up in November. Perhaps you’ve heard someone say this, “There are two things you should never talk about: religion and politics.” We’re breaking that rule….or both of those rules, however you want to look at it. In this series we dive into some things that Jesus had to say that apply to the upcoming election. No, not about endorsing a candidate or a party…..we’re talking about things far more important that either of those.
Gain From Pain
As a result of what we’ve experienced and, in some ways, are still experiencing through the pandemic of 2020, what are the lessons we’ve learned? And what changes do we want to make moving forward? This experience was forced on us but it would be a shame if we don’t take a look at what we’ve learned and figure out what we need to carry forward from the old normal to the new normal. This brief series explores some changes we can make and points us toward seeking God’s help in implementing them in our lives.
While I’m Waiting
What do we do while we wait? Not wait like, “Honey, how much longer?” But wait like, “God, there’s no direction and no hope and no solution.” That kind of wait. What do you do when there’s nothing you can do? What do you do when you have a problem that seems to have no solution? Your job, your marriage, or your life is stuck. You’re miles from ideal with no good options. So what do we do? In this series we explore some answers and see God’s purpose, no matter what comes our way.
Witness
While believing in Jesus gives hope, Christianity isn’t based on hope or blind faith. It’s based on evidence. The Apostle John was an eyewitness to many of Jesus’ miracles and he reminds us that the supernatural feats of Jesus are not just random acts of kindness meant to help and inspire people. They are signs that give evidence for who Jesus is.
